Having amassed more than 18 years of professional experience, I offer a unique blend of architectural prowess and around 12 years of commitment to nurturing young minds in architecture and interior design field. I strongly believe in the idea of inclusivity, accepting diversity and challenging myself to work with a wide range of people.
My academic qualifications include a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Houston, USA, and a Bachelor's in Architecture from the University of Pune, India. I have also a completed a one year course in Academic Practice from Pearl Academy. I practice as an Architect and Interior Designer, engaging in diverse projects spanning residential, commercial, educational, healthcare, and retail mixed-use spaces. With a passion for design and ability to adapt to modern technology, I am committed to excellence in the professional practice environment. Problem solving is an essential step that I involve in my design process and and aim for solutions that provide value for resources and time spent.

In addition to practice, I have worked in various leadership roles in academics. I have been actively involved in curriculum designing and research. Currently, I am serving as a convenor for B.O.S., Interior Design at Vishwakarma Skills University (VSU), where I have played a key role in designing the curriculum for B.Voc. and B.Des. Courses. Additionally, I have worked on Interior Design curriculums for various degree courses like B.DES., BSc.ID and B.ID. at Pearl Academy and Amity University. I have published research papers and articles in various journals of national and international repute. As a teacher, I have honed innovative teaching methodologies and provided invaluable guidance to students in their projects and curriculum assignments.
My Story
My professional journey includes a formative period spent in the United States, where I worked as an Intern Architect and contributed to projects at the reputable architectural firm, Johnson Atala + Associates, from 2008 to 2012. This experience afforded me a deep understanding of international work culture and compliance with US building regulations. Moreover, I possess proficiency in various design and drafting software, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and have a working knowledge of Rhinoceros. Recently, I have started exploring Metaverse and enjoy exploring VR & AR Tools. I have taken online courses on Coursera as well to further strengthen my concept on this technology, now widely used in many of the design schools.
I have taught at prestigious institutions like NIT, BIT and Amity University. I believe in bringing out the best in a student and experiment with innovative methods of teaching. I am passionate about designing and specialize in Architectural and Interior design works. I am running a Design studio by the name of Apurv Design Solutions in Jaipur. I have worked on Residential, Retail, Educational, Healthcare, Interiors, Master Planning and Landscaping based projects in India and abroad. My research interests include designing sustainable High-Rise buildings and sky gardens and studying ambient and indoor air quality in urban areas. I have published research works and articles in national and international journals.
